Erica, a young woman in Austin, Texas, fills supermarket shelves and drifts through a series of brief, impersonal sexual encounters, keeping each man at a distance. Two very different men take an interest in her: Nate, a quiet veteran of the Iraq war, and Franki, an emotionally fragile aspiring rock musician who cares for his sick mother. What begins as an uneasy connection between Erica and Nate hardens into violence once Franki and his bandmates cross her path, setting the three of them on a collision course.
Simon Rumley wrote and directed this British production, the first of the features listed for him, followed by The ABCs of Death, Once Upon a Time in London and Crushed. Amanda Fuller plays Erica, with Noah Taylor as Nate and Marc Senter as Franki. The film runs 102 minutes and blends drama, horror and thriller elements.
On IMDb it holds a rating of 6.3 from roughly 6,400 votes, while on TMDB it stands at 6.2 from about 148 votes, a narrow gap between the two that suggests a modest but settled reception. The limited vote counts point to a small-scale independent release rather than a wide commercial one.
