Luck-Key

A down-on-his-luck actor, Yoon Jae-sung, has reached a point where he sees little reason to keep going. Before acting on that impulse, he visits a public bathhouse, where an assassin named Hyung-wook has just slipped on the wet floor, struck his head and lost his memory. The actor swaps the unconscious man's locker key for his own and steps into the killer's life, leaving the assassin to wake up with the actor's identity. What follows is a comic exchange of roles: the amnesiac hitman drifts into acting work and finds success as a television action star, while the man who took his place faces the consequences of the job he has claimed. The arrangement unravels as fragments of the killer's past return and his former associates begin to notice that something is wrong.

Released in October 2016, Luck-Key is a Korean action comedy directed by Lee Kae-byeok from a screenplay by Jang Yoon-mi, and it is the first of the two features listed as his work, preceding Sweet & Sour. The production was handled by Showbox and Yong Film, with Syd Lim, Kim Jong-dae and Jeong Hui-sun producing. Yoo Hae-jin plays the assassin opposite Lee Joon as the actor, supported by Jo Yoon-hee, Im Ji-yeon, Go Joon and Cha Soon-hyeong among a credited cast of 58.

The film runs 112 minutes and has been well received by both audiences and critics. On IMDb it holds a rating of 8 out of 10 from 10 critics' reviews, while on TMDB it averages 7.2 out of 10 across 152 votes, a sign of broad audience approval alongside strong critical notice.
