Tekken

In the year 2039, governments have collapsed after global wars, and powerful corporations now rule what remains of civilization. The largest and most feared of these is the Mishima Zaibatsu, which stages a fighting tournament called Tekken to distract an unhappy population. Jin Kazama is a young street fighter living outside the city walls, getting by through smuggling. When corporate security forces destroy his home and kill his mother, he enters the tournament, determined to reach the man he holds responsible for her death and to fight his way through competitors from around the world.

The film adapts the Japanese fighting game series, with Jonathan Patrick Foo as Jin Kazama, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa as Heihachi Mishima, Kelly Overton as Christie Monteiro, Ian Anthony Dale as Kazuya and Luke Goss as Steve Fox. It was directed by Dwight H. Little, appearing tenth in his directing filmography between Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid and Natty Knocks, from a screenplay by Alan B. McElroy, and was produced by Warner Bros. Pictures and Crystal Sky Pictures, among others.

Made for about 30 million dollars, the film was released in 2010 and runs 92 minutes. Its ratings are mixed to negative across the board: on IMDb it sits at 4.8 out of 10 from around 30,000 votes, while on TMDB it holds 5.3 out of 10 from a much smaller pool of roughly 763 votes. A film critics' rating of 3.3 out of 10 from six reviews is lower than both audience scores.
