La Llamada

María and Susana are teenage friends who spend their summers at a Catholic camp in Segovia run by nuns. The two love electronic and Latin dance music, and they regularly slip out at night to nearby clubs, dodging the watchful eyes of the sisters in charge. When María begins having visions, the experience pushes both young women toward a new way of seeing themselves, their faith, and their friendship. The story unfolds as a musical comedy, with songs woven into the characters' search for freedom and identity.

La Llamada was released in Spain in 2017 and runs 109 minutes.
