Triple Tap

Ken, a champion competitive shooter, witnesses an armored van robbery and intervenes when he sees a police officer taken hostage, killing four of the robbers. One escapes, and the officer survives. The case falls to Inspector Jerry Chong, whom Ken has recently beaten in a shooting competition. Cleared in court, Ken is later attacked by the fugitive robber, Pang Tao, and their confrontation exposes a different account of what happened, setting off a tangle of deception and shifting loyalties as Ken and Jerry each try to outmaneuver the other.

Derek Yee Tung-Sing directed and co-wrote the film with Tin-Nam Chun and Lau Ho-leung, following Protégé and Shinjuku Incident in his filmography and preceding The Great Magician. Louis Koo plays Ken and Daniel Wu plays Inspector Jerry Chong, with Charlene Choi, Li Bingbing, Chapman To and Lam Suet in supporting roles. The production was a Hong Kong and mainland Chinese co-production.
