Altitude

Altitude is a Canadian-American horror thriller about a group of teenagers whose sightseeing flight turns into a fight for survival. Sara, a young and inexperienced pilot, is taking her friends up in a small plane when a mechanical problem sends the aircraft climbing far beyond its intended altitude. The group manages to regain control, but their calculations say they should already have hit the ground, and instead they keep falling through an endless fog. Something hostile is waiting for them in the clouds, and it wants them dead.

Kaare Andrews directed the film from a screenplay by Paul A. Birkett. It was the first feature he directed, ahead of The ABCs of Death, Cabin Fever: Patient Zero and Sniper: Assassin's End. Jessica Lowndes plays Sara, with Julianna Guill, Ryan Donowho and Landon Liboiron among the passengers; Michelle Harrison and Ian Robison appear in supporting roles.

Released in 2010, the film runs 90 minutes and mixes fantasy, horror, mystery and thriller elements. Reception has been modest: on IMDb it holds 4.8 out of 10 from around 11,000 votes, and on TMDB 4.7 out of 10 from roughly 255 votes, showing a small but consistent audience response at that level.
