A young electrician named Vince is struggling to keep his family afloat when he overhears a customer discussing an upcoming contest with a large cash prize. After the customer dies suddenly, Vince takes his place, following instructions meant for someone else. He arrives at a clandestine gathering where wealthy men bet on a tournament of Russian roulette, and by then it is too late to back out. Among the participants are a Mexican convict brought in by a prison guard and a man released from a psychiatric hospital for the occasion.

The film is a remake of director Gela Babluani's own earlier feature, 13 Tzameti, and it stands as the second of the two films he has directed. Gregory Pruss wrote the screenplay, and the large ensemble includes Sam Riley, Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, Ray Winstone, 50 Cent and Michael Shannon, among 47 credited cast members.

Released in March 2010, the production carried a budget of 20 million USD and returned about 4 million USD worldwide. On IMDb it holds 6 out of 10 from roughly 46,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 5.8 from around 941 votes. A critics' rating of 3.8 from 14 reviews places it below both audience scores.
