Psychokinesis

Shin Suk-hun is an ordinary man working as a security guard when he gains the ability to move objects with his mind. At the same time, his estranged daughter Roo-mi faces losing the building that houses her restaurant to redevelopment. After learning what has happened to her, he decides to use his new powers to help. The film blends action, comedy and fantasy as he tries to reconnect with his daughter while taking on the people behind the redevelopment.

Psychokinesis was released in 2018 and runs 101 minutes. It is a Korean production from Next Entertainment World and RedPeter Film. Yeon Sang-ho directed and wrote the screenplay, with Kim Yeon-ho producing. The cast includes Ryu Seung-ryong as Shin Suk-hun, Shim Eun-kyung as Shin Roo-mi, Park Jeong-min, Kim Min-jae, Jung Yu-mi and Yoo Seung-mok, with 35 credited cast members and 53 credited crew members. It followed Yeon's Train to Busan and Seoul Station, both from 2016, and came before Peninsula (2020), JUNG_E (2023), The Ugly (2025), Revelations (2025), Colony (2026) and Paradise Lost (2026).

Audience reaction was moderate. On IMDb the film holds 6 out of 10 from 6,800 votes, and on TMDB it has 6.3 out of 10 from 347 votes. A critics' rating of 6.3 out of 10 from 10 reviews places it close to the audience scores, suggesting a similar level of appreciation from both groups.
