Needle in a Timestack

Nick and Janine are happily married, but their life together is disrupted when Janine's ex-husband uses time travel to separate them. He brings Nick's former girlfriend from college back into the picture, and as the timeline shifts around them, Nick's memories and his grip on reality begin to slip away. To hold on to the woman he loves, or to let her go, Nick must work out what he is willing to sacrifice. The film is a science-fiction romance set in a world where time travel is possible and the past and present are constantly tangled together.

John Ridley directed and wrote the screenplay, and the film was produced by Zanne Devine, Aaron L. Gilbert and Matt Kennedy. It was Ridley's first turn as director before Shirley and The Corner. Leslie Odom Jr. and Cynthia Erivo lead the cast as Nick and Janine, with Freida Pinto as Alex, Jadyn Wong as Zoe, and Orlando Bloom as Tommy. Thirty-two cast members are credited.
