The Spy Who Dumped Me

Audrey and Morgan are best friends in their thirties living in Los Angeles. Their ordinary lives are upended when Audrey's ex-boyfriend turns up at her apartment with a team of assassins chasing him, and the two women learn he was working as a spy. What follows pulls them into an international conspiracy and sends them on the run across Europe, pursued by killers and shadowed by a charming but suspicious British agent named Sebastian, while they try to stay alive and prevent a larger disaster.

The film is an action comedy directed by Susanna Fogel, who wrote the screenplay with David Iserson. It is the second feature Fogel directed, following Life Partners in 2014 and preceding Cat Person and Winner. Mila Kunis plays Audrey and Kate McKinnon plays Morgan, with Justin Theroux as Drew, Sam Heughan as Sebastian, Lolly Adefope as Tess and Dustin Demri-Burns as Viktor. Brian Grazer and Erica Huggins produced for Lionsgate, Bron Studios and Imagine Entertainment, with a budget of 40 million USD and a worldwide box office of about 34 million USD.

Audience response was moderate and closely split: on IMDb the film holds 6.1/10 from around 87,000 votes, and on TMDB 6.4/10 from roughly 2,400 votes. A film critics' rating of 5.3/10 from 208 reviews places it below both audience scores.
