The Recall

Five friends head to a secluded lake house for a weekend away, only to find strange signs waiting for them: a blood-soaked truck in the woods and a warning from a mysterious hunter who seems to know what is coming. Their trip turns into a fight to survive when an alien invasion reaches the area, with a spacecraft descending on the remote countryside and people being taken.

The film is directed by Mauro Borrelli, whose earlier features were Haunted Forest and The Ghostmaker, and who has since made Mindcage, WarHunt and The Last Supper. Wesley Snipes plays the hunter, and also produced; the cast includes RJ Mitte, Jedidiah Goodacre, Laura Bilgeri, Niko Pepaj and Hannah Rose May. It was written by Sam Action King and Reggie Keyohara III and shot in Canada on a budget of about five million dollars.

Receiving a wide release in 2017, the film runs 91 minutes. Audiences have rated it 4.2 out of 10 on IMDb from roughly 9,900 votes, and 4.7 out of 10 on TMDB from a few hundred votes, indicating a generally negative reception across both.
