Scooby-Doo! Curse of the Lake Monster

Scooby-Doo and the gang take summer jobs at a lakeside club in Erie Point, where Fred, Daphne, Velma and Shaggy hope to earn enough to cover the cost of a barn they accidentally burned down. Their plans go sideways when a creature said to live in the lake begins frightening the guests. Since the friends need the work, they set out to uncover what is really behind the monster. The story also gives attention to the group's personal lives, with romantic feelings stirring among them, including an awkward encounter between Shaggy and Velma.

The film is a live-action television movie released in 2010 and directed by Brian Levant, working from a screenplay by Daniel Altiere and Steven Altiere. It follows Levant's earlier Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins in his filmography and shares its young cast: Nick Palatas, Kate Melton, Hayley Kiyoko and Robbie Amell as the four human members of the gang, with Frank Welker voicing Scooby-Doo and Marion Ross appearing as Hilda Trowburg. Levant also produced alongside Brian J. Gilbert.

The film drew a modest audience response. On IMDb it holds a rating of 4.8 from roughly 5,300 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6.2 from a much smaller pool of about 540 votes. Its worldwide box office of around 3 million dollars reflects a release aimed primarily at home viewing rather than theatres.
