Short description

What's left behind the scenes

The Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance automatically banned the film, as it was shot in the West. The outfit worn by Juliette Binoche in the film caused particular outrage. The film received permission for release in Iran only in 2011.
William Shimell initially did not want to film, as he was embarrassed by the number of lines and monologues he had to memorize.
