Z-O-M-B-I-E-S

Z-O-M-B-I-E-S is set in Seabrook, a town proud of its traditions, its football team and its cheerleaders. Years after an accident at the local power plant turned part of the population into zombies, the town's residents live apart from Zombietown, and the zombies wear devices that suppress their hunger for brains. When students from Zombietown are admitted to Seabrook High for the first time, the two groups must share classrooms, hallways and a school culture built around sameness. Zed, a zombie who wants to play football, and Addison, a cheerleader with her own reasons for feeling out of place, become friends and try to bring their school and their community together despite the suspicion around them.

The film is a Disney Channel musical directed by Paul Hoen, the thirteenth of sixteen films he has directed in chronological order, following Invisible Sister and preceding Z-O-M-B-I-E-S 2. David Light and Joseph Raso wrote the screenplay, Mary Pantelidis produced, and the cast of twenty-three includes Meg Donnelly as Addison, Milo Manheim as Zed, Trevor Tordjman as Bucky, Kylee Russell as Eliza, Carla Jeffery as Bree and Kingston Foster as Zoey.

At ninety-four minutes, it mixes comedy, fantasy, horror, music and romance. On IMDb it holds a rating of 6 out of 10 from around 10,000 votes, while on TMDB it scores 7.2 out of 10 from 786 votes, suggesting a warmer response from that audience than from IMDb's larger group of voters.
