London Boulevard

London Boulevard follows Harry Mitchel, a man just out of prison who wants to leave his criminal life behind. He finds work as a bodyguard for Charlotte, a famous actress who has withdrawn into her London home to escape the press. As the two grow closer, Mitchel's old associate Billy pulls him back toward petty crime, and a gangster named Gant expects him to settle outstanding debts from his past. The film is based on Ken Bruen's novel of the same name.

William Monahan wrote the screenplay and made his directing debut here; he went on to direct Mojave in 2016. Colin Farrell plays Mitchel and Keira Knightley plays Charlotte, with David Thewlis, Anna Friel, Ben Chaplin and Ray Winstone in supporting roles. The production, a British-American crime drama, cost about 25 million dollars and returned roughly 8 million worldwide, a weak result against its budget.

On IMDb the film holds 6.2 out of 10 from around 52,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 5.9 from a much smaller base of 837. A critics' score of 5 out of 10 across 46 reviews places it below the audience figures, though not sharply so. The cast and crew credits list 52 actors and 47 crew members.
