Super Troopers 2

A border dispute between the United States and Canada gives the disgraced Vermont highway patrolmen known as the Super Troopers a chance to redeem themselves. Mac, Thorny, Foster, Rabbit and Farva are sent to take over a police station in a town whose national allegiance has suddenly become unclear, and to keep order in the contested area while officials on both sides argue over the border.

Jay Chandrasekhar directed the film and shares screenplay credit with Steve Lemme and Kevin Heffernan. It followed his earlier features Super Troopers, Club Dread, The Dukes of Hazzard, Beerfest and The Babymakers, and came before Easter Sunday and Super Troopers 3. Chandrasekhar, Heffernan, Lemme, Paul Soter and Erik Stolhanske all reprise their roles from the first film as the five patrolmen, with Lynda Carter as Governor Jessman. Richard Perello produced, and the production involved Broken Lizard Industries among its companies.

Made for about 14 million dollars, the comedy took roughly 32 million dollars worldwide, a return of more than twice its budget. On TMDB it holds a rating of 5.9 out of 10 from 545 votes, while critics' reviews average 4.6 out of 10 from 103 reviews, so audiences rated it somewhat more favorably than critics did.
