The Even Stevens Movie

The Stevens family believes they have won an all-expenses-paid vacation to a tropical island, but the trip is not what it appears. Their holiday home collapses, their food disappears and tensions rise among them, all while hidden cameras record their reactions for a reality television programme broadcast to a national audience. The family only gradually comes to understand that the island is close to home and that the people around them are part of the production.

The film is a comedy continuing the story of the Stevens family from the Disney Channel series, with Shia LaBeouf as Louis, Christy Carlson Romano as Ren, Donna Pescow and Tom Virtue as their parents, and Nick Spano as their older brother Donnie. Tim Meadows appears as Miles McDermott. Sean McNamara directed from a screenplay by Dennis Rinsler and Marc Warren; it was released in June 2003 and runs 94 minutes. It is the fourth of the twenty-four films McNamara has directed in chronological order, coming between 3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain and Raise Your Voice.

On TMDB the film holds a rating of 5.9 out of 10 from 146 votes, indicating a modest and mixed response from users. With 34 credited cast members and 53 credited crew, the production was a substantial television undertaking for its time.
