Sister Sarah takes her vows and enters a convent, only to find that the institution is a front for a drug operation run by corrupt clergy. She is abused, drugged and left for dead. Surviving a lethal dose, she believes she receives a message from God instructing her to punish those who harmed her. Armed with heavy weapons, she sets out after her former tormentors. The church responds by hiring a ruthless motorcycle gang, Los Muertos, to hunt her down.
The film is a 2010 American action, comedy and thriller directed by Joseph Guzman, who wrote the screenplay with Robert James Hayes II; both also produced alongside Maysam Mortazavi. It was Guzman's first feature as director. Asun Ortega plays Sister Sarah, with Bill Oberst Jr. as Brother John, Ivet Corvea as Mistress Charlotte, Devanny Pinn as GoGo, Tawny Amber Young as Temperance and Maxie J. Santillan Jr. as Mr. Foo. Twenty performers are credited.
Running 90 minutes, the film was released on 24 September 2010. Its ratings are low on both platforms: 3.9 out of 10 on IMDb from around 6,500 votes, and 4.4 out of 10 on TMDB from roughly 153 votes. The two audiences agree closely, and the much larger IMDb sample confirms the assessment is not the result of a handful of viewers.
