Babyteeth

Babyteeth centres on Milla, a teenage girl living with a serious illness, and her fraught relationship with her anxious parents, Anna and Henry. When Milla falls for Moses, a small-time drug dealer, her family is thrown into turmoil. She brings him home to meet them, and their reaction is far from welcoming. Yet as the relationship gives Milla a renewed appetite for life, the people around her are forced to reconsider what they thought they wanted for her, and the household is turned upside down.

The film is an Australian production, directed by Shannon Murphy from a screenplay by Rita Kalnejais, and produced by Alex White. It stars Eliza Scanlen as Milla, Toby Wallace as Moses, Essie Davis as Anna and Ben Mendelsohn as Henry, with a credited cast of 21 and a credited crew of 57. It runs 118 minutes and blends comedy, drama and romance.
