Jordan Sanders is a demanding tech company owner who treats her employees harshly, especially her put-upon assistant April. After a particularly cruel outburst, Jordan wakes one morning to find herself back in her thirteen-year-old body, just as a crucial presentation threatens the future of her business. Only April knows the truth about her boss's transformation. With Jordan suddenly enrolled in school and forced to navigate life as a teenager again, April finds herself in the strange position of managing both the company's big moment and the child version of the woman who has made her working life miserable.

Tina Gordon Chism directed and co-wrote the film with Tracy Oliver, following her 2013 debut Peeples. Regina Hall plays the adult Jordan, Issa Rae plays April, and Marsai Martin plays the younger Jordan. Universal Pictures, Legendary Pictures, Will Packer Productions and Perfect World Pictures produced the comedy, which blends fantasy and romance elements across its 108-minute runtime.

The film earned about 17 million dollars worldwide against a 20 million dollar budget. On IMDb it holds a 5.6 rating from roughly 16,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6.8 from around 764 votes. A critics' rating of 5 out of 10 from 160 reviews places it below the TMDB audience score. Gordon Chism went on to direct Praise This in 2023.
