Short description

Calvin Barr is an American veteran who, during the Second World War, was sent behind enemy lines on a mission to assassinate Adolf Hitler. He survives the war but carries the secret for decades, living quietly while the country believes a different version of events. Years later, an FBI agent and Canadian police approach him with an unusual request: he is needed to track down Bigfoot, a creature said to be hiding in the Canadian wilderness. The film moves between Barr's wartime past and his later years, when the same skills he once used are called on again.

Robert D. Krzykowski wrote and directed the film, which was released in 2019 and runs 96 minutes. Sam Elliott plays the older Calvin Barr, with Aidan Turner as the younger version of the character. Caitlin FitzGerald appears as Maxine, while Rizwan Manji, Larry Miller and Ron Livingston round out the cast. Krzykowski's screenplay was produced by Lucky McKee, Patrick Ewald and Shaked Berenson.

The film drew modest audiences. On IMDb it holds a rating of 5.7 from around 15,000 votes, and on TMDB a rating of 5.5 from roughly 493 votes. A critics' rating of 6.5 from 96 reviews places it somewhat higher than those viewer scores. The film blends adventure, drama, fantasy, science fiction and war across its two timelines.
