Adriano Doria, a successful businessman, wakes up in a hotel room locked from the inside, next to the dead body of Laura, a photographer with whom he was having an affair. When the police arrive, he is accused of murder, though he insists he is innocent. The case draws wide attention, and Adriano hires Virginia Ferrara, a defence lawyer known for an unblemished record. With a key witness emerging and a hearing that could seal his fate approaching, the two have only a few hours before the court session to work out a defence strategy and find proof of his innocence. Pressed against the wall, Adriano is forced to tell the whole truth.
