Short description

A man wakes up in an alternate reality where he is no longer a successful author, but a teacher. In this new world, his wife has no memory of him and is instead a famous pianist engaged to someone else. To recover his previous life and relationship, he must find a way to make her fall in love with him again.

This Belgian and French production was directed by Hugo Gélin, following his 2016 film Two Is a Family. The screenplay was written by Gélin alongside Benjamin Parent and Igor Gotesman. The film stars François Civil as Raphaël and Joséphine Japy as Olivia, supported by Benjamin Lavernhe, Camille Lellouche, Amaury de Crayencour, and Edith Scob.

Produced with a budget of 8 million USD, the film has received generally positive feedback from viewers, holding a 6.9/10 rating on IMDb from 7,100 votes and a 7/10 rating on TMDB from 884 votes. However, these audience scores are notably higher than the rating from film critics, which stands at 4.7/10 based on 8 reviews.

What's left behind the scenes

  • Like their characters, François Civil and Benjamin Lavern are friends in real life. After receiving the role, Civil insisted that Lavern also audition, and as a result, he was given the role of Félix.
  • Director Yugo Zhelene initially wanted to cast Pierre Nine in the role of Raphael Remi, but he was busy with other projects.
  • One of the episodes features a certain Nicolas Massard. This is a reference to the film's cinematographer.
  • The main character's surname is Ramis. This is a reference to Harold Ramis, the screenwriter and director of the comedy 'Groundhog Day'.
