Short description
Katarina is a twenty-year-old woman living in a bleak suburb of Gothenburg with a difficult family background. Her perspective on life shifts after she encounters the music of Mozart, which inspires her to escape her current circumstances and seek a more beautiful existence. After securing a job at a concert hall, she begins a risky affair with Adam, a married conductor. As she attempts to build a new identity for herself, she becomes entangled in a cycle of deception and betrayal.
This Swedish drama was written and directed by Lisa Langseth, marking the first of three films she has directed. The cast features Alicia Vikander as Katarina and Samuel Fröler as Adam, alongside Josephine Bauer, Martin Wallström, Frederik Nilsson, and Ylva Gallon. Produced by Film i Väst and Tre Vänner, the film had a budget of 15 million USD.
