A spoof of buddy cop movies where two very different cops are forced to team up on a new reality based T.V. cop show.
What's left behind the scenes
- Scenes explaining why Mitch needed a new partner were filmed but cut during editing. At the beginning of the film, they were working undercover with a partner who was wounded. This was followed by a scene of Mitch visiting his partner in the hospital and seeing that he was considering retirement.
- Drena De Niro, Robert De Niro's adopted daughter, played the role of the heroine Rene Russo's assistant.
