Street Kings 2: Motor City is a crime thriller set in Detroit, where Marty Kingston leads an undercover narcotics unit. When members of his team are killed one after another, he partners with Dan Sullivan, a homicide detective, to track down whoever is responsible. Their investigation leads them toward corruption inside the police department and puts the two men on a collision course with betrayal and revenge. Ray Liotta plays Kingston and Shawn Hatosy plays Sullivan, with supporting turns from Clifton Powell, Kevin Chapman and Inbar Lavi among a credited cast of thirty-four.
The film was directed by Chris Fisher, its third feature after Dirty and S. Darko and before Meeting Evil. Jeremy Haft and Eddie Gonzalez wrote the screenplay, and Ash R. Shah produced for 20th Century Fox and Silver Nitrate. It runs 93 minutes and was released in April 2011.
Audience scores are low: on IMDb it holds 4.8 out of 10 from roughly 3,400 votes, and on TMDB 4.3 out of 10 from about 100 votes. The larger IMDb sample and the smaller TMDB one point the same way, suggesting a film that found little favour with viewers.
