P Storm is a Hong Kong action crime film about an anti-corruption investigator who goes undercover inside the prison system. When a complaint reaches the Independent Commission Against Corruption about a wealthy businessman who has been bribing officers of the Hong Kong Correctional Services from within his cell, investigator William Luk chooses an unusual approach: he enters the facility posing as an inmate to gather evidence from the inside. His partner Ching Tak-Wing and Chief Inspector Lau Po-keung support the operation from outside, while Luk's time among the prisoners brings him into contact with the businessman at the centre of the case.
The film is directed by David Lam, the fifth entry in the series that began with Z Storm in 2014 and continued through S Storm, L Storm and later G Storm. Wong Ho-Wa and Ho Man-Lung wrote the screenplay, and Cary Cheng Kim-Fung produced it. Louis Koo leads the cast as William Luk, with Kevin Cheng, Raymond Lam Fung, Lam Ka-tung, Chrissie Chau and Louis Cheung among the credited performers, thirty-one in all.
Released in April 2019, the film runs 96 minutes and belongs to the action and crime genres. On TMDB it holds a rating of 6.4 out of 10 from 67 votes, a modest but stable response from viewers.
