Short description

A veterinarian and his wife move to the remote village of Wake Wood following the death of their young daughter in a dog attack. While struggling with their grief, they discover that the local community practices ancient pagan rituals. Through a specific rite, the couple is offered the chance to bring their child back to life for three days, though the experience does not unfold as they expected.

The film was directed by David Keating, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Brendan McCarthy. It stars Aidan Gillen and Eva Birthistle as the parents, alongside Timothy Spall, Ella Connolly, Amelia Crowley, and Brian Gleeson. Produced by companies including Vertigo Films and Screen Ireland, it is a combined drama, horror, and thriller from the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Audience reception was mixed, with a 5.5 rating on IMDb from 9,200 votes and a 5.6 rating on TMDB based on 218 votes. Film critics gave the movie a higher score of 6.6 based on 26 reviews.
