Mia and Frida meet when their parents celebrate an engagement that will make them stepsisters. Mia arrives at the festivities with her fiancé, Tim, and initially feels distant from her new family. However, as the two women spend more time together, including a trip to a summer house on an island, they develop a deep romantic connection. This relationship forces Mia to choose between the life she planned with Tim and her feelings for Frida.

This Swedish drama and romance was directed and written by Alexandra-Therese Keining. It is the first of three films she has directed, followed by Girls Lost and Resan till Piemonte. The movie stars Ruth Vega Fernandez and Liv Mjönes in the lead roles, with Krister Henriksson, Lena Endre, Joakim Nätterqvist, and Josefine Tengblad appearing in the supporting cast.
