She Is Conann

A dog from the underworld named Rainer journeys through the abyss while narrating the six different lives of a woman called Conann. Across various eras and myths, Conann is repeatedly killed by her own future. The story follows her progression from a child enslaved by Sanja and a barbarian horde to her eventual rise as a cruel figure at the threshold of the human world.

This fantasy and science fiction co-production from Belgium, Luxembourg, and France was written and directed by Bertrand Mandico. It is the first film in a chronological sequence of his work that includes Rainer's Ungodly Camera and Roma elastica. The movie features a cast of 54 credited actors, including Claire Duburcq, Christa Théret, and Sandra Parfait, who portray Conann at different ages, alongside Elina Löwensohn as Rainer and Julia Riedler as Sanja La Rouge.

The film has a runtime of 105 minutes. Audience reception is consistent across platforms, with the movie holding a 5.8 rating on IMDb based on 863 votes and a matching 5.8 rating on TMDB from 28 votes.
