A Serbian Film

Miloš is a former Serbian porn actor who has left the industry behind and lives with his wife Marija and their young son. Money is tight, and when a former colleague, Lejla, puts him in touch with a wealthy director named Vukmir, Miloš is offered a sum large enough to secure his family's future. He hesitates, then agrees after discussing it with his wife, without being told what the production actually involves. As he prepares for the role, Vukmir's men stay close to him, and Miloš comes to understand that he has committed himself to something far more brutal than an ordinary adult film.

The film is directed by Srđan Spasojević, who wrote the screenplay with Aleksandar Radivojević and also produced it. It was Spasojević's first feature, followed by his segment in the anthology The ABCs of Death. Srđan 'Žika' Todorović plays Miloš, with Sergej Trifunović as Vukmir, Jelena Gavrilović as Marija, Katarina Žutić as Lejla, Slobodan Beštić as Marko and Anđela Nenadović as Jeca, among a credited cast of twenty-six.

Released in 2010 and running 104 minutes, the film is a Serbian crime, horror and thriller production from Contra Film. Reception has been sharply divided: on IMDb it holds a rating of 4.9 from around 80,000 votes, and on TMDB 5.4 from over 2,000 votes, while the critics' rating stands at 5.2 from 31 reviews, placing critical and audience responses in roughly the same narrow range.
