Touchback

Scott Murphy was a high-school football star whose career ended with a knee injury during the biggest game of his life. Fifteen years later he works a small farm and volunteers as a firefighter, married with children and still wondering how things might have turned out differently. When he gets the chance to go back and relive that period, he finds that changing his history would mean giving up the life he has built since.

Touchback is a 2011 American drama directed by Don Handfield, who also wrote the screenplay. It was his first feature as director. Brian Presley plays Scott, with Kurt Russell as Coach Hand, Melanie Lynskey as Macy, Marc Blucas as Hall, Christine Lahti as Thelma and Sarah Wright as Jenny.

A critics' rating of 5.7 from 12 reviews places it somewhat below those audience scores.
