Rise

Elise is a successful classical dancer who believes her life is perfect until a series of crises occur. She discovers her partner is cheating on her with a backup dancer and suffers a serious injury during a performance. Facing the possibility that she can no longer perform ballet, she must find a way to rebuild her life. Her journey takes her between Paris and Brittany, where she eventually explores contemporary dance as a means of personal recovery and professional renewal.

The film was directed by Cédric Klapisch, who also co-wrote the screenplay and served as a producer. Within his body of work, this movie follows Someone, Somewhere and precedes Colours of Time. The cast features Marion Barbeau in the lead role, alongside Pio Marmaï, Denis Podalydès, François Civil, Muriel Robin, and Hofesh Shechter.
