A university student goes missing, and days later she is found to have been killed by a hit-and-run driver. The police suspect the abductor and the driver are the same person, but their investigation hinges on two witnesses who were at the scene: Min Soo-ah, a former cadet at the National Police Academy whose eyesight was lost in an earlier accident, and Kwon Gi-sub, a young man. The two give conflicting accounts of what happened, and the case grows more complicated when it becomes clear that the driver is a serial offender determined to silence them both.
Blind is a 2011 Korean thriller directed by Ahn Sang-hoon, his first feature, followed later by Empire of Lust and Tastes of Horror. Choi Min-Seok wrote the screenplay, and the cast is led by Kim Ha-neul as Soo-ah and Yoo Seung-ho as Gi-sub, with Jo Hee-bong, Yang Yeong-Jo, Kim Mi-kyeong and Park Choong-seon in supporting roles. It runs 111 minutes.
The film grossed about 16 million dollars worldwide. On IMDb it holds a rating of 6.8 from roughly 3,400 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 7.3 from about 139 votes. The smaller TMDB sample is noticeably more favourable, but both point to a film that found a modest, generally positive response.
