Mack & Rita

Mack Martin is a thirty-year-old writer who would rather stay home than keep up with trends. When she reluctantly joins her best friend Carla for a bachelorette weekend in Palm Springs, a strange turn of events leaves her in the body of her seventy-year-old self, Rita. Comedy, drama and fantasy mix as Mack navigates life as an older woman.

Katie Aselton directed the film, which came first in her directing career, ahead of Oh, Christmas Tree, Magic Hour and Their Town. Madeline Walter and Paul Welsh wrote the screenplay, and Diane Keaton, Dori A. Rath and Alex Saks produced. Elizabeth Lail plays Mack and Diane Keaton plays Rita, with Taylour Paige, Dustin Milligan, Simon Rex and Loretta Devine among the cast.
