Short description
A struggling political journalist and former war correspondent is forced by his editor to interview a famous soap opera actress. Although the man views the assignment as beneath his professional status and the woman finds him unpleasant, their encounter evolves into an intense psychological battle. As the two clash through sharp criticism and mutual arrogance, they gradually reveal their vulnerabilities and discover an unexpected intellectual connection.
Directed by Steve Buscemi, the film followed his previous works Trees Lounge and Animal Factory. Buscemi also co-wrote the screenplay alongside David Schechter and Theodor Holman, and starred in the lead role as Pierre Peders. The cast features Sienna Miller as Katya and includes appearances by James Franco and Michael Buscemi. Produced as a collaboration between companies in the Netherlands, the United States, Canada, and the Netherlands Antilles, the drama has a runtime of 84 minutes.
The film earned 1 million USD at the worldwide box office. It holds a rating of 6.4/10 on TMDB based on 182 votes. Film critics gave the movie a rating of 6/10 from 126 reviews, which is slightly lower than the score provided by the audience on TMDB.
