Short description
Set between the parallel worlds of contemporary London and the futuristic faith dominated metropolis of Meanwhile City, Franklyn weaves a tale of four souls, whose lives are intertwined by fate, romance and tragedy. As these worlds collide, a single bullet determines the destiny of these four characters.
What's left behind the scenes
- Filming began in London in September 2007.
- Initially, the roles of Milo, Priest, and Esser were to be played by Ewan McGregor, Paul Bettany, and John Hurt, respectively. However, shortly before filming began, the creators decided that the characters should be somewhat younger, and a new cast was selected. Eva Green, who had been involved with the project from the beginning, remained in the role of Emilia.
