Monster Island

Monster Island is a television movie that blends adventure, comedy, and horror. The story follows a group of MTV contest winners who travel to a tropical island for a party. Their trip turns into a struggle for survival when they are attacked by giant, radioactive mutant insects. The conflict centers on the group's efforts to survive the monster onslaught and rescue Carmen Electra after she is abducted by one of the creatures.

Directed by Jack Perez, the film followed the release of Wild Things 2 earlier in 2004. It was a co-production between companies in the United States, Canada, and France, including MTV Productions and Insight Film Studios. The cast features Daniel Letterle as Josh and Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Maddy, alongside Chelan Simmons, Cascy Beddow, Joe MacLeod, and Carmen Electra appearing as herself. The production utilized a crew of 46 people to create its B-movie style effects.
