Short description
Violinist Sydney Wells was accidentally blinded by her sister Helen when she was five years old. She submits to a cornea transplantation, and while recovering from the operation, she realizes that she is seeing dead people.
What's left behind the scenes
- To prepare for her role, Jessica Alba took violin lessons for six months. The actress began learning the violin while working on Tim Story’s "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer" (2007).
- Jessica Alba prepared for the role for several weeks with an instructor provided by a special organization working with people with vision problems. She learned to use Braille and worked closely with a blind singer named Jessica Bachicha.
- Chloe Grace Moretz actually shaved her head for the role of a cancer patient.
