Recoil

Following the murder of his family, a former police officer named Ryan Varrett abandons the law to pursue those responsible. His quest for vengeance extends to other criminals who avoided legal punishment. This path leads him to a small town where he attempts to confront a man named Rex. However, Rex is protected by his brother Drayke, the leader of a criminal biker gang involved in smuggling drugs and weapons. While Varrett faces the gang alone, he finds an ally in a local hotel owner named Darcy.

Directed by Terry Miles, this 2012 production was the first in a series of films for the director, followed by Even Lambs Have Teeth in 2015 and Calamity Jane in 2024. The movie was written by John Sullivan and produced by Jack Nasser. It features a cast including Steve Austin, Serinda Swan, Danny Trejo, Lochlyn Munro, Noel Gugliemi, and Adam Greydon Reid. This joint Canadian and United States project involved a credited crew of 53 people.
