Superman

An unstable scientist threatens the city of Metropolis with a destructive energy weapon. After the Daily Planet receives a warning letter regarding the device, reporter Lois Lane attempts to gather further details for a story. Superman, an alien from Krypton who hides his identity as clerk Clark Kent, must intervene to protect the residents from the threat.

Directed by Dave Fleischer, this 1941 animated short followed his work on Granite Hotel and preceded his 2009 project, Max Fleischer's Superman 1941-1942. Produced by Max Fleischer with a screenplay by Jay Morton, the film features the voices of Bud Collyer as Superman and Clark Kent, Joan Alexander as Lois Lane, and Jack Mercer as the scientist.
