Glory Road

Glory Road tells the story of Don Haskins, a college basketball coach who takes charge of the Texas Western Miners in El Paso and builds a team around Black players at a time when racial segregation still shaped the sport. Facing resistance on and off the court, Haskins and his squad push toward the NCAA championship in 1966, where the starting line-up he fields makes history.

Released in 2006, the film was directed by James Gartner and written by Christopher Cleveland and Bettina Gilois, with Jerry Bruckheimer producing for Walt Disney Pictures. It was Gartner's first feature as director. Josh Lucas plays Haskins, with Derek Luke as Bobby Joe Hill and Jon Voight as Adolph Rupp among a cast of twenty-four credited performers.

The film earned 43 million dollars worldwide. On TMDB it holds a rating of 7.4 out of 10 from 825 votes, while film critics gave it 6 out of 10 from 152 reviews, so audiences rated it more warmly than critics did.
