What's left behind the scenes
- In 1993, David Lynch and Monty Montgomery launched a similar project, also on the HBO network. Titled 'Hotel Room,' it consisted of three parts with different casts. The action took place in room 603 of New York's Railroad Hotel in 1969, 1992, and 1936. The creators intended for all three parts to be shown sequentially, forming a pilot episode with the length of a standard feature film. However, the public and critics reacted coolly to the project, and it was shut down.
