Little Trouble Girls follows Lucia, a shy sixteen-year-old who joins her Catholic school's all-girl choir. Through this group, she forms a close bond with Ana-Maria, a popular and confident student. During a rehearsal trip to a convent in Italy, Lucia begins to explore her sexuality and question her personal values. Her attraction to a local restoration worker creates tension in her friendship with Ana-Maria and disrupts the harmony of the choir.
The film marks the feature debut of writer and director Urška Djukić, who previously received a European Film Award in 2022 for her short films. The lead roles are played by Jara Sofija Ostan as Lucia and Mina Švajger as Ana-Maria, with a supporting cast that includes Saša Tabaković, Nataša Burger, Staša Popovič, and Mateja Strle. This drama and romance production involved companies from Italy, Serbia, Slovenia, and Croatia.
