Touch

Touch is a drama and romance about Kristófer, a man who seeks to uncover the truth behind the disappearance of his first love, Miko. Fifty years prior, the Japanese woman vanished without a trace while they were in London. Prompted by the onset of a global pandemic and a sense that his time is running out, Kristófer travels to England and Japan to find answers about what happened to her.

The film was directed by Baltasar Kormákur, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Ólafur Jóhann Ólafsson. In the chronological order of Kormákur's work, this is his eleventh feature, following Beast and preceding Apex. The movie stars Egill Ólafsson as the older Kristófer, with Pálmi Kormákur Baltasarsson playing the younger version of the character. Kōki and Yōko Narahashi portray Miko at different ages, and the cast also includes Masahiro Motoki and Ruth Sheen.

Produced by RVK Studios and Good Chaos, the production was a joint effort between Iceland and the United Kingdom. It earned 4 million USD at the worldwide box office. The film was well received by viewers, earning a rating of 7.4/10 on IMDb from 7,100 votes and a 7.3/10 on TMDB based on 130 votes.
