Bats

Genetically altered bats escape and begin attacking the residents of a small town in Texas. The creatures, which became carnivorous and intelligent due to failed genetic experiments, leave a trail of victims in their wake. A zoologist specializing in bats and her assistant are brought in to help, working alongside the local sheriff to stop the mutated animals while dealing with military interference.

Directed by Louis Morneau, this film followed Retroactive in his career. The cast features Dina Meyer as Dr. Sheila Casper and Lou Diamond Phillips as Sheriff Emmett Kimsey, with Bob Gunton and Leon also appearing in primary roles. Produced by Destination Films with a budget of 5 million USD, the movie earned double that amount at the worldwide box office.
