The Astronaut Lovers

Pedro travels from Spain to Argentina for a vacation at a family home, where he reunites with Maxi, a friend from his childhood. To provoke a former partner, Maxi convinces Pedro to pretend they are in a relationship. While the arrangement begins as a game, the two men develop a genuine mutual attraction. As their bond grows, they struggle with the ambiguity of their feelings and attempt to keep their evolving connection hidden from their friends and family.

Written and directed by Marco Berger, the film followed his 2023 projects Horseplay and The Exchange. The movie stars Javier Orán as Pedro and Lautaro Bettoni as Maxi, with a supporting cast including Mora Arenillas, Agustín Frías, Ailín Salas, and Melina Furgiuela. Produced by Mr. Miyagi and Sombracine Producciones, this romantic comedy-drama was released on June 20, 2024.
