Maria is a forty-year-old woman balancing a demanding professional career with the care of four children. While her second husband, Sigmund, travels frequently for work, the strain of their arrangement leads to a violent disagreement. Following this conflict, Sigmund informs her that he wants a divorce. Maria is forced to confront her deepest fears and decide whether to let her life collapse or find a way to move forward from the end of her marriage.

This Norwegian drama and romance was directed and written by Lilja Ingolfsdottir. It is the second film she has directed, following her 2010 work Neglect. The movie stars Helga Guren as Maria and Oddgeir Thune as Sigmund, with supporting roles played by Heidi Gjermundsen, Maja Tothammer-Hruza, Marte Magnusdotter Solem, and Elisabeth Sand. Produced by Nordisk Film Norway, Amarcord, and Oslo Filmfond, the film earned 3 million USD at the worldwide box office.
