Blue Lagoon: The Awakening

Two high school students, Emma and Dean, find themselves stranded on a deserted tropical island in the Caribbean. After Emma falls overboard during a boat trip and Dean jumps in to rescue her, the pair is washed ashore. Despite having very little in common, they must depend on one another to survive in the wilderness. As they spend weeks isolated from their families, they undergo personal growth and develop a romantic relationship.

Directed by Mikael Salomon, this television movie was released in 2012. It is the fourth film in Salomon's directorial chronology, following The Lost Future. The production stars Indiana Evans and Brenton Thwaites as the lead teenagers, with Denise Richards also appearing in the cast. The film was produced by several companies, including Sony Pictures Television Studios and Lifetime.

Audience reception is mixed, as reflected by the ratings. On IMDb, the film holds a score of 5.3/10 based on 19,000 votes. It received a slightly more positive response on TMDB, where it has a rating of 6.5/10 from 1,517 votes.
