Leopardi & Co

This romantic comedy is set in Recanati, where the relationship between two young protagonists develops under the influence of Giacomo Leopardi's poetry. David, an American actor seeking global stardom, is pushed by his agent, Mildred, to star in a project directed by Ruggero Mitri. Due to his superficial nature, David arrives on set unprepared, mistakenly believing the role is based on Casanova. To get him ready, he is paired with Silvia, a local coach tasked with teaching him about the poet. While the two initially clash, their bond grows as they spend time together in the city.

The film was directed by Federica Biondi and written by Mauro Graiani. The cast features Jeremy Irvine as David, Whoopi Goldberg as Mildred, and Denise Tantucci as Silvia, with Paolo Calabresi playing Ruggero Mitri. Supporting roles are played by Paolo Camilli and Daniele Fiengo. Produced by Eagle Pictures, Camaleo Film, and the Marche Film Commission, the movie was released in Italy on December 11, 2025.
